Marylin R TESSIER (née Pearson)

Marilyn R. (Pearson) Tessier, 84, formerly of West Bridgewater, passed away Friday, October 18, 2024 at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of the late Gordon F. Tessier.

She is survived by her daughters, Sheri Anderson and her husband Lee of West Bridgewater, Lonnie Pepera and her husband Anthony of Lakeville, and Kristie Bilodeau and her husband Wayne of Bridgewater; her grandchildren, Brittany Carr, Daniel Carr, Renee Banks, Tess Bilodeau, and Anna Bilodeau; her step-grandchildren Zachary Pepera, Joshua Pepera and Kevin Pepera; and her brother, J. Richard Pearson and his wife Karen. She is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Born August 1, 1940 in Brockton, she was the daughter of the late John A. Pearson and Hillavi (West) Pearson. Raised in Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1958 and attended the Chandler School in Boston.

Marilyn was part owner and Office Manager of her family-owned business, Montello Heel Mfg., Inc. in Brockton.

Marilyn was a faithful member of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Brockton. She was proud of her Swedish heritage and passed many traditions down to her children and grandchildren.

Mal, as she was known by so many, enjoyed gardening, exercising, traveling and especially spending time with her family and friends. She always found the best in everyone and put everyone else's needs before her own. Her kind, sweet demeanor will be remembered by her loved ones.

Growing up, she spent summers with her family on Great Herring Pond in Plymouth. As her own family grew, she loved gathering family and friends at her home, along with houses on Saquish Beach, in Plymouth and in Whitefield, NH. Her grandchildren have many memories of her spoiling them, especially when she took them for ice cream, which they think was really just an excuse for her own enjoyment.

Marilyn's family would like to thank everyone at the Village at Willow Crossing in Mansfield for all the love and care they gave to Mal in her final years.

Calling hours will be held in the Russell & Pica Funeral Home, 411 South Main St., (Rt 28) West Bridgewater on Wednesday, October 23rd from 9:00am-11:00am followed by a funeral service in the funeral home at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Walk To End Alzheimer's Association.
