Joséphine TESSIER CROSBY (née Slaney)
Josephine Kathleen Crosby, 90, peacefully passed away in Boynton Beach, Florida on November 5, 2018! She was born in Natick, Massachusetts on June 18, 1928. Josephine was the youngest of eight children and grew up in Natick and Framingham. She was employed at the Office of the Secretary of Health and Welfare in Washington, DC for many years. She was a loving wife to Raymond Crosby, mother of five, grandmother of eight and great grandmother of ten, all of whom she loved dearly. She loved crafting, reading poetry, traveling and attending (and participating) in live theater! Her favorite pastimes were times spent with family and friends, especially at family reunions in Maryland or taking cruises to the Caribbean! Josephine was preceded in death by her sons James and William Tessier! She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Raymond Crosby of Boynton Beach; her son and his wife Robert and Rhonda Tessier of Frederick, Maryland; her daughters Debbie Hadley of Frederick, Maryland and Sharon and her husband, Robert Eggleston of Brunswick, Maine; her daughter-in-law Marcia Tessier of Adamstown, Maryland; her Brother Joseph Slaney of South Natick, Massachusetts and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A Mass was celebrated at Saint Thomas More Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, Florida. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 15 at the Resthaven Funeral Home, 9501 Catoctin Mountain Hwy. in Frederick. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens; floral tributes are welcome.
