Theresa Burnor 1949-2019 |
She was born in Cambridge, VT on April 2, 1949 to the late Charles & Freda (Touchette) Burnor.
Theresa grew up on the family farm in Montgomery, VT and was a 1967 Enosburg Falls High School graduate. Theresa was married to Randy Tessier on July 25, 1981 and they resided in Enosburg until moving to South Carolina in 1995. Through Theresa’s vision, and Randy’s amazing carpentry skills, they built what her kids love to call the “Tessier Resort”. Theresa and Randy, in their almost 39 years of marriage, share a never-ending love for one another. Theresa had a fond love of antiques, collectibles or whatever she found to be special, and she always had someone in mind for these treasures. We would all find them in our houses or on our porches and be surprised. She made giving her mission just as her mother Freda always did. She had a special knack for interior decorating and took great pride in her gardens. Theresa was a very thoughtful, kind, fun loving, creative and spiritual women with a heart of gold. Theresa spent many hours and miles traveling from SC to VT to spend time with her grandchildren, children, family and many friends. Many of those trips were made with her mother-in-law, Joyce Tessier. Theresa’s philosophy in life has always been “it’s all going to be okay” even in the end.
She is survived by her husband, Randy Tessier of Honea Path, SC; her four children and their families, Brian Deuso and his wife Sylvie of Richford, their son, Michael Deuso and his fiancé Holly DeMartinis of Berkshire, Keith Deuso and his significant other, Lynn Larison, his children, Brendan and Aleta Deuso and their mother Terri Deuso all of Enosburg, Angela Raner of St. Albans, her children, Samantha Deuso of Brookline, MA and Alex Raner of St. Albans, and Joshua Tessier of Greenville, SC; two siblings, James Burnor and his wife Barbara of Hanahan, SC, and Mary Walker and her husband Dale of Elk City, OK; several nieces & nephews and her beloved dog Meesha and her kitties Segar and Stevie. Besides her parents and Randy’s father Nelson Tessier, Theresa was predeceased by her siblings, June Smith, and Larry Burnor.
