Belva COMBS, 94, of Washington passed away at 10:55am, Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Washington Christian Village.
Belva was born on August 29, 1921 in London Mills, IL, the daughter of Lowell Combs and Lois Dykeman. She married Max Tessier on January 9, 1943 in London Mills.

Belva graduated from London Mills High School and attended both business
and cosmetology school. She worked a variety of jobs throughout her
life, from an accounting assistant to beautician, nurse’s aide, and
administrative assistant. She served as a 4H leader and volunteered for
many community organizations; she loved to cook, sew, read and paint.
Belva is known throughout the community as a kind and generous person,
the first to be there for anyone in need. She was not only a loving
wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, but an
inspiration to us all.
