Edward TESSIER

EASTHAMPTON - Edward Charles Tessier Jr., age 70, formerly of Taft Avenue and Parsons Street, died peacefully at the home of his daughter surrounded by his loving children and their families on Saturday, March 12, 2011.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1940, son of the late Edward Charles Tessier Sr. and Annette (Frenier) Tessier. He was raised and educated in Holyoke and attended the former Sacred Heart Parochial School and was a graduate of Holyoke Catholic High School in the class of 1958. He was a United States Navy veteran, having served from October 1959 to October 1963.

Ed was a very devoted employee, having worked as a precision optician for 25 years at the Kollmorgen Co. of Northampton, and for the past 15 years at Bern Optics in Westfield.

He loved traveling, especially to Jamaica. He loved music, especially Bob Marley, and was devoted to his family and work.

He is survived by his loving and devoted children, sons Tracey Tessier and his fiancee, Lori Sanfratello, of Rio Rancho, N.M., and Todd Tessier and his wife, Colleen (Doyle) Tessier, of Groton; his daughter, Kimberly Tessier and her fiance, Jarrett Colpack, of Easthampton; a brother, Leonard Tessier of Holyoke; four grandchildren, Jacob and Trent Tessier, and Jordan and Jacob Jekanowski; and his former wife of 25 years, Kathreen M. (Dolat) Tessier of South Hadley.
