Violet Irene Martin 1922-2018

TESSIER, Violet Irene (nee Martin) Peacefully, surrounded by her family, Violet died on June 18, 2018 in her 96th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Gerard Tessier (May 16, 2011). Survived by her children Robert (Gail), Richard (the late Leila), Gerry Jr. (Anna-Carolle), Michel (Peggy), Dianne and Shirley Mackenzie (Ian). Grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, she was also anxiously awaiting the birth of her first great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be at McEvoy-Shields Funeral Home, 1411 Hunt Club Road, from 2-5 p.m. on Monday, June 25th. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, June 26th at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel with reception to follow. On her behalf, we would like to thank all of the staff and friends she made at Stirling Park Retirement Community; also the doctors, nurses and staff at the A.C.E. Unit Queensway Carleton Hospital. Donations to the Ottawa Regional Cancer Foundation in lieu of flowers would be appreciated.
