Ralph LAVIGNE


 «QUARTZSITE, Arizona and Woodstock — There will be a memorial service at the Thompson Senior Center in Woodstock on Saturday, Oct. 18, 2014  for Ralph Edward Lavigne, 74, who passed away suddenly at his home on Aug. 28, surrounded by love from his wife and oldest son.


He was born in Barre on Nov. 22, 1939, son of Nellie Mae (Sears) and Ira Joseph Lavigne and grew up in Williamstown. He was educated in Williamstown schools and played basketball in high school. For many years he worked as a logger in Vermont and Maine.

Upon retiring from that he went to work at Quechee Lakes Golf Course and Ski Hill, where he took up golf and skiing. When he left there he went to work at South Royalton waste water treatment plant where he spent 14 years. Upon retiring he moved to Arizona after spending 12 years traveling to Florida and Aruba. He decided to move to Arizona permanently where he worked at the museum also for BLM in Quartzsite, Arizona as a campground host.

He liked to travel, liked to be with people, loved to play games and enjoyed life. Ralph was an avid reader especially old westerns and loved country music. He and Beda had done camp-hosting in many western states. He was the Vice-President of the Quartzsite Senior Center which he enjoyed very much.

He had helped with Bingo at both the QIA and Senior Center. He was a very fun loving, caring and generous person. He is survived by his wife Beda Lavigne of Quartzsite, Arizona; two sons, Ken Linton of Arizona and Kelly Linton and his wife Lisa of Woodstock; a sister Irene Almanza of Pearblossom, Califorina; and a twin brother Raymond Lavigne of Westford...»

«Mr. Yves Joseph Lucien Gaétan Tessier, age 67 years, a resident of Thunder Bay succumbed peacefully to Cancer at St. Joseph’s Hospital at sunrise on Wednesday, October 1, 2014.
Yves was born on June 21, 1947, in Lac-des-Plages, Quebec. Raised by his parents Irene and Joseph for 17 years, he then moved to Thunder Bay in 1965. He started doing construction and forestry, where he found his passion working in the bush and excelled with great co-workers. Yves met in 1968 and married Mary-Ann Parker in 1970. Within 10 years, they had 4 children that were raised in Kaministiquia in a house built by himself and friends. He worked hard for his employers for 15 years until he decided to go logging on his own, struggling for another 10 years, then retired from logging. Yves enjoyed the rest of his life spending time with his kids, family and friends.

Yves hobbies include hunting, fishing, working on vehicles and equipment, playing guitar and dancing as well as playing cards. His children remember him as a kind, gentle, patient, driven father who encouraged them to pursue their goals...»

Known for his shaved head and menacing villain roles, Tessier was an Algonquian Indian.

He was an accomplished furnituremaker, and built several pieces for his co-stars.

   Dick graduated from Menominee High School class of 1964. On June 8, 1988, he married Judith Knuth in Marinette, WI. Dick worked for the Peshtigo Times Publishing for 50 years as a printer. Il laisse dans le deuil sa mère Colette Forest; ses soeurs: Monique Tessier (Bouchard), Danielle Tessier et Nicole Tessier (Gagné); 4 enfants: Karlina, Kelanie, Elias et Vivika; une demi-soeur des enfants, Larah-Sue, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Les funérailles auront lieu en l'église St-Joseph (secteur Hull) à 11h, vendredi le 29 août 2014.»
