«As long as there is love and as long as we have you, our army, we’ve already won.” Kelly placed her faith in the palms of God’s hands and he gave her wings on November 4, 2014, in the comfort of her home along with her family and her closest friends. Beloved wife of Paul TESSIER and mother of “sonshine” Owen. Cherished daughter of Brian and Peggy Wikiruk of Espanola. Treasured sister of Terri (husband, Andrew Orr) of Little Current. Kelly loved spending quality time with the love of her life, Paul and their “sonshine” Owen. As long as they were together, as Kelly said, “it was all about the funny”. She was very proud of Owen and all of his accomplishments, especially when he would serenade her with his daily rock concerts. Family gatherings and traditions were very important to Kelly. She treasured her friendships and nurtured them only in a way that Kelly could. Kelly was a well respected Community Addiction Councillor within the Sagamok Anishnawbek Wellness Unit and felt honoured to be accepted amongst the community. She was very artistic with a passion for graphite drawings. She also loved the simple things like sitting in the porch listening to the wind chimes and thunderstorms. Kelly’s spirituality was important to her along with her extended Lighthouse family who gave her so much peace. Kelly’s spirit and legacy of positivity, strength and grace will live on through us, her army. Her smile will be with us forever...»
