LaVigne began her employment at the Berkshire Fine Spinning Associates,
the Pownal Tannery and Powell's General Store in Pownal. She became a
homemaker until she raised her family and then worked at local
department stores until her retirement. She was a communicant of St.
Francis Church in North Adams participating in the Rosary Society and
Jollee Circle. She was a member of the Frank R. Stiles Post 125 American
Legion Auxiliary, the Clarksburg Senior Citizens and the Mary G.
Spitzer Senior Center.
Mrs.
LaVigne was predeceased by her husband, Frederick Joseph LAVIGNE, whom
she married on April 29, 1950 in Bennington, Vt. He died February 3,
2007.Mrs. LaVigne is survived by her two daughters, Carol Ann
Kane of Seattle, Wash., and Jean Marie LaVigne of North Adams and a son,
John Charles LaVigne and his wife, Jane of Winchester, Mass....»
