Doris TESSIER

Doris M. Tessier, 90, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, (January 15, 2013), at Hartford Hospital. Born in Woonsocket, RI on Jan. 27, 1922, a daughter of the late Albert E. and Ida C. (Gaboury) Tessier, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1952. Prior to her retirement she was a dedicated employee for many years at Hartford Hospital as a telephone operator. A devout Catholic, she was a faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford. Doris is survived by her caring sister, Claire J. Franklin of East Hartford with whom she made her home; and several special nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Besides her beloved parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Raymond Tessier of East Hartford and Alfred Tessier of Enfield; and a sister, Lillian A. Tessier of East Hartford.
Private funeral services were held at the convenience of the family followed by a private graveside at St. Mary's Cemetery, East Hartford. There were no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in the memory of Doris may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society-CT Chapter, 659 Tower Avenue, First Floor, Hartford, CT 06112.
