Juliette CHANDONNET

MANCHESTER - Juliette A. Tessier, 90, died June 15, 2012, at the Ridgewood Center following a brief illness.

She was born in Manchester on Oct. 17, 1921, the daughter of Joseph and Anna (Fortin) Chandonnet and had been a lifelong resident of this city.

Prior to her retirement she had been a self-employed hairdresser. She was a member of the St. Anne Sodality of Sacred Heart Parish and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She volunteered at Elliot Hospital and Hillsborough County Nursing Home, knitting caps for infants and afghans for the elderly.

She was predeceased by her husband, Robert F. Tessier, Sept. 23, 1995; and her son, Capt. Lucien Tessier, USMC, who died in Vietnam on Feb. 19, 1968.

Members of her family include her daughter Priscilla DeSena and son-in-law Ralph DeSena of Naples, Fla., and Bethany Beach, Del.; three grandchildren, Ralph A. DeSena (Jennifer), Christopher DeSena (Aurora), Michelle DeSena Rosenbauer (Peter); six great-grandchildren, Robert DeSena, Michael DeSena, Nicholas DeSena, Lily DeSena, Margaret Rosenbauer and Grace Rosenbauer; sister, Yvonne Cote of Bedford and several nieces and nephews.

services:There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on June 23, at 11 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 223 South Main St. Burial will be in St. Augustin Cemetery at a later date.
