Ralph Joseph Tessier 1916-2011

Dr. Ralph Tessier passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, Nov. 17. He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey Bechtel Tessier. Born May 25, 1916 in New Bedford, MA, he was the son of the late Dr. Joseph and Irene Tessier. Dr. Tessier attended Tufts University, School of Dental Medicine and served as a Naval Dental Officer during World War II, stationed in Pearl Harbor. Dr. Tessier practiced Dentistry in Asbury Park, NJ for over 40 years until retiring in N. Myrtle Beach 19 years ago. He was an avid golfer, alpine skier and football enthusiast and attended Our Lady of the Star Catholic Church. During retirement he enjoyed golf, boating and socializing with friends and family.
He is survived by his daughter, Michele Speer and husband Dennis, son, Ralph Joseph “R.J” and wife Cheryl, and son Brooks and wife Amy; grandchildren Adam, Zoe, Jennifer, Zac (Leah), Meredith Manzi (Eric) and great grandchildren, Jacob, Jesse, Josh, Sayre, AJ, Tadan, Luke and Zealand.
