Margaret Delia TESSIER , formerly of Scappoose, died July 7, 2011, peacefully in the hospital surrounded by family. She was 88.

Margaret Delia Tessier was born Sept. 30, 1922, in Bannock, Mont., to William and Florence Tessier, and was the sixth of eight children.

She lived through the Roaring 20s, the Great Depression, and World War II.

In 1940 she married George J. Fleck, and they eventually made their home in Oregon.

Throughout her lifetime she enjoyed cooking, canning, gardening, dancing, knitting, crocheting, traveling and crossword puzzles.

Always a caring person, she built an addition on to her home and moved her elderly parents from Montana to Oregon so she could take care of them herself.

A wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, mentor and friend, she will be dearly missed by family and friends alike.
