Velma TESSIER (née Smith)

Velma Tessier, 83, passed away at her home, with her family in Bucoda, Wash. She was born Nov. 27, 1934, in Skookumchuck Valley to James and Isabell Smith.

She married the love of her life, Frank Tessier Nov. 12, 1954. They spent their years together making a family, taking care of the farm, camping and elk watching.

The hearts of Velma's family are heavy, as they lost a strong and loving woman. They will deeply miss her sense of adventure, love for the outdoors, homemade pickles and aggressiveness towards those pesky blue jays. They will miss her calm demeanor, the way she loved her dogs, home and the simple things in life. She created a big and beautiful family and taught them all so much about humility, hard work, dignity and love.
