Robert Tacey 1940-2019

Mr. Tacey passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 78 years. The son of the late Wilfred Joseph and Agnes Irene (Shook) Tacey Sr. was born October 18, 1940 in Bay City, Michigan. Robert served his country in the U.S. Army, was a lifelong member of the DAV #9 and the Pulaski Club. He was an avid music collector and enjoyed fishing, woodworking and playing shuffle board.



Mr. Tacey is survived by his five children; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; niece and nephew, Carole and Rick Wachowski; great niece, Amanda Wachowski; three sisters, Barbara Winchell, Pat (Ron) Kuerbitz and Cathy Galus. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother, Wilfred “Bud” Tacey Jr. and his first wife, Alice Rice.



The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of McLaren Hospice for their compassion and care.



Funeral and Committal services will take place at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Private interment will take place at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the American Cancer Society will be available at the funeral home.
