Lyle TESSIER

Lyle Tessier 1931-2014
Lyle J. Tessier, 83, of Clay, formerly of Syracuse, Central Square, and Pennellville, passed away at home on Monday, August 11, 2014, with loving family by his side. Born December 9, 1931. Son of Marcia and Albert Tessier, Lyle attended Alexandria Bay and Carthage High School. He graduated from Syracuse University with a bachelor's degree in Marketing. While living in Central Square, Lyle was Oswego County Town Supervisor and County Legislature. He was a member of Central Square Fire Department, Lyons Club, and St. Michael's Church. While living in Pennellville, Lyle owned and operated Wigwam Campground for 15 years. Upon retirement, Lyle resided in Cape Vincent and Florida. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed fishing. Lyle was predeceased by his parents and daughter, Susan Tessier-Butler.

He is survived by his wife, Constance Morisette Tessier; daughters, Barbara (Jurg) Monsch and Valerie (Mark) Meyers; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.

A private Mass was held at Divine Mercy Parish, Central Square Campus, formerly known as St. Michael's Church, with a burial at St. Mary's Cemetery, DeWitt.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or Central Square Fire Department.
