Edna Tacey 1937-2018 |
Edna M. Czelada, age 81, of Imlay City died Friday, September 28, 2018 at her home. Edna
Margaret Tacey was born January 8, 1937 in Essexville, MI. She is the
daughter of the late Prosper and the late Magdalene (Mulders) Tacey. Her
father died very early in life, her mother married John Schlosser and
she grew up as the daughter of John and Magdalene Schlosser. Edna grew up in the Essexville and Fairgrove, Michigan areas. She was a graduate of Fairgrove High School. She married Leonard Francis Czelada on August 28, 1955 in Essexville, Michigan. Edna
worked side-by-side with her husband Leonard, growing and marketing
their fruits and vegetables at their Czelada Farm Market north of Imlay
City. Later, the family farm began
truck farming their produce down to the Royal Oak Farm Market until a
few years ago and has presently been selling produce at the Imlay City
Farmers Market. Edna and Leonard had been attending the North Goodland Baptist Church in Imlay City. She
is survived by: her husband: Leonard Francis Czelada; daughters: Judy
Conley of St. Petersburg, Florida and Linda (& Mark) Homer of Brown
City, MI; sons: Kenneth Czelada of Imlay City, MI and Ed (& Jen)
Czelada of Imlay City, MI; six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. Edna
was preceded in death by: her daughter-in-law: Patricia Czelada; her
father: Prosper Tacey; her mother: Magdalene Schlosser; and step-father:
John Schlosser. Cremation
has taken and a memorial service will be held 3 pm, Sunday, October 14
at North Goodland Baptist Church, 3080 N. Van Dyke Road, Imlay City, MI. Pastor John Chippewa will officiate. The
family will receive visitors at 2pm before the service. Those wishing
