Steven Bruce LAVIGNE(1947-1968)

Un descendant de la 10ème génération de la famille
TESSIER-LAVIGNE

United States Marine Corps Lance Corporal. He was killed in action from small arms fire in South Vietnam.
«I was Steven's fiancé'. We met on the greyhound bus when he was heading out to California for training as a Marine. I was on my way to University. It was the summer of 1967. The best summer in my life because I met Steven. After a very short four hour bus ride I knew he had me hooked. I fell in love and he with me. We laughed a lot and shared our hopes for the future. We exchanged letters and on his second call to me he proposed. Our parents asked us to wait until his return from Vietnam, but God had other plans for us. I know that he is serving with his Lord today as he served his Country with Love, Strength and Pride. God Bless Dear Steven, I will someday see you again as a friend who loved me once in my life.
This picture was taken from the traveling wall. I was so very glad I went there for it reminded me of a very special love. You are missed dear one. Blessings, Janice»
