«TACEY, Donald James age 91, received his reward on Feb. 22, 2013. His mission on earth completed, his destiny with the Lord fulfilled. Born in Bay City, MI, on April 29, 1921, he served as an altar boy in church, went to school, and worked on his father's farm. He proudly served in the US Navy from Jan. 5, 1942 - Dec. 21, 1945 during the WWII years. First, in Kodiak, AK, as a Carpenter's Mate, and then as a submarine tender aboard the USS Beaver in Midway. Upon discharge, he moved to Tampa and worked as a barber for 50 years, also owning Don's Barber Shop. He married Lynnie Milam; and is survived by his four children, Donna, Douglas, Cheryl, and Robert; one grandson, Daniel; and a host of friends and relatives. He will be remembered for his good nature, quick wit, and love of life, a good joke, a catchy song and a dance...»
