Arlene TODD

Arlene Todd 1927-2012
TESSIER, Arlene - In Loving Memory of Arlene Tessier, who passed away peacefully on January 21st, 2012 at the age of 84 years at Health Sciences North in Sudbury. Beloved wife of the late Réal Tessier (predeceased). Her conversion to the Catholic faith in her pre-marriage years formed the rest of her life. She was a devout member of Holy Redeemer Parish in Minnow Lake for more than 50 years. Arlene is survived by her six children, Dr. David (wife Rada) of Waterloo, Laurent (wife Valerie) of Espanola, Theodore (wife Kim) of Phoenix, Gerard (wife Dawn) of Peterborough, Patrick (wife Carole) and Anne-Marie Bigras (husband Jean) of Sudbury. She is also survived by one sister, Marie Gibbs of Saint-John, NB, three brothers, Kenneth (wife Velzora) of Saint John, NB, Thomas (wife Helga) of Sudbury, ON and Robert (wife Lynda) of Dowling, ON. Grandchildren Joel, Todd, David, Angela, Paula, Amanda, Laura, Matthew, Julie, Crystal, Jacqueline, Samantha, Sarah, Thomas, Real, Zacharie, Jeannette, Renée, and great grandchildren, Logan, Liam, Olivier, Simon, Kael, Noah and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends all know the warmth of her love. Predeceased by four brothers Donald, Winston, Coulter and Garnett. Arlene was born in Cambridge-Narrows, New Brunswick on December 29th, 1927. She later moved to Saint John, New Brunswick where she met and married Réal. Later they moved to Montreal, Quebec and Sudbury, Ontario. She loved the serenity of the cottage at Trout Lake (Shenandoah). She will be remembered by the love for her extended children neighbors, and all those around her. Her loving motivation has helped propel many to heights they may not have otherwise achieved. Her respect of the proper use of language has always been paramount. She was and always will remain our matriarch and took this tremendous task seriously. Arlene's mother Annie's legacy continues through her by the appropriate use of humour in regular life by helping to lighten the load. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Centis, whose gentle and caring approach is unequaled. To all the staff at HSN; although we may not know your names, your actions show that you live the dignity of your values and mission. Thank you. Donations through the Health Sciences North Foundation for the Research Group in honour of Arlene would be appreciated by the family.
