McKAY/BEAUCHAMP, Ramona (nee Lavigne) It is with great sadness and love that the family of Romona McKay/Beauchamp (nee Lavigne), announce her passing on Sunday, January 9, 2011, at the age of 70. Ramona died peacefully, at home, surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of James McKay and predeceased husband Roger Beauchamp. Loving mother to Debby Maheu (Jean-Marc) and son Danny Beauchamp (Judy). Proud, cherished and very actively involved Nana to Gary, Ryan, Julie, Samantha and Emilee. Stepdaughter Laurie (Greg) Singleton, children Devin, Kyle, and Brendan, stepson David McKay (Liz) child Grace, and stepson Peter McKay. Dear sister of Lillian (late Andrew), Lynn (Robert), Theresa (late Albert), Pauline (Robert), Omer (Cecile), Kenneth (Marianne) and Henry (Rachel). She was predeceased by her parents Godfrey Lavigne and Annie (Dufresne), sisters Alda (late Rod) and Pauline and brothers Billy (Val), Hector (Jeannine), Charlie, Steve and Eugene. She will also be missed by many nieces, nephews and 'special' friends. She worked at Sears, in Sudbury, for 25 years. Her love and dedication to her family was endless and will always be alive in the hearts and memories of many. She will be missed so very much. For those she surrounded, her quick wit, kindness, selflessness, giving of herself, honesty, enjoyment for family and life to the fullest attitude will never be forgotten. Friends are welcome to join the family for a funeral service and gathering, at Annunciation of the Lord Parish, 2414 Ogilvie Rd. in Ottawa on Thursday, January 13th at 11:00. Another funeral service and gathering will be held at St. Andrew the Apostle, in Sudbury.
