Michel TESSIER

Michel Tessier 1945-2010
GLENS FALLS — Michel "Mike" Tessier, 65, of South Street, passed away at his home, surrounded by his loving family, on Saturday, Nov. 27, 2010, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on July 4, 1945, in Cornwall, Ontario, Canada, he was the son of the late Noel and Regina (Parthenais) Tessier.

Mike attended St. Paul's School in Hudson Falls and left to enlist in the U.S. Army. He served his country in Vietnam, under the 101st Armory Division out of Fort Knox. During this time, Mike was a radio and telephone operator.

On March 23, 1969, he married Doralee Donaldson at St. Paul's Church in Hudson Falls. They had 41 wonderful years of marriage.

Mike was employed at Price Chopper for 46 years. With so many years under his belt, he knew the ins and outs of the store and how it should be run.

He enjoyed fishing with his boys, camping and going on cruises. Mike loved life and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a dependable, loyal and hard working man, who loved his wife, children, grandchildren and sister, dearly. Mike will be missed deeply by his family and friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Renauld Tessier; his sister, Rita Saucier, and his godparents, Homer and Victoria Tessier.

Survivors include his loving wife, Doralee Tessier of Glens Falls; his four children: Ellen VanPelt and her husband, David, of Clifton Park, Laura Tessier of Norfolk, Va., Edward Tessier and his wife, Christy, of Queensbury and Jon Tessier and his wife, Magen, of Glens Falls; his grandchildren: Zachary Kingsbury, Teighlor Kingsbury, Mason Barrant, Kyle Flynn, Emily VanPelt, Katelyn VanPelt and Alexander VanPelt; his great-grandchild, Madison Barrant; his sister, Annette St. John and her husband, James, of Fort Edward; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Monday (today) from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Carleton Funeral Home Inc., 68 Main Street in Hudson Falls.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary's/St. Paul's Church on the park in Hudson Falls.

The Rite of Committal will be conducted at noon on Tuesday at Gerald B.H. Solomon Cemetery in Schuylerville.

The family suggests that Memorial donations be made to the American Red Cross, Adirondack Saratoga Chapter, 74 Warren St., Glens Falls, NY 12801.

LA FAMILLE tessier a le regret de vous annoncer le décès de M. GUY tessier décédé le 24 novembre 2010, à l'âge de 78 ans. Il était l'époux de Raymonde Ipperciel et le fils de feu William tessier et de feu Alida Lafleur. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses enfants : Céline (John), Guylaine (Sylvain) et Stéphane (Nathalie); ses petits-enfants : Katerine, Vincent, Anne, Éric, Laurence, Myriam et Nicolas. Il laisse également son frère et ses soeurs: Cécile, André (Cécile) et Marie-Paule (Marcel); ses beaux-frères et belles-soeurs : Roger (Joanne), Odette, Suzanne, Gabrielle, Hélène, Béatrice et Gérard ainsi que plusieurs neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s et ami(e)s. Il fut prédécédé par ses frères et soeurs. Il n'y aura pas de visites à la maison funéraire. Le service religieux aura lieu en présence des cendres en la salle cérémoniale de la Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais située au 1369, boul. La Vérendrye Ouest à Gatineau le dimanche 5 décembre 2010 à 11h. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 10h30. Elle laisse dans le deuil plusieurs nièces et neveux, spécifiquement Ronald Arbour et Olive Tessier. Elle fut précédé par ses soeurs Flore Dion, Béatrice Tessier, Régina Arbour et par ses frères Roland, René, Ubald et Romual Tessier. Il était résidant de Salaberry-de-Valleyfield. Leona TESSIER

Leona Josephine Tessier 1925-2010
Leona J. (Tessier) Seguin, 85, formerly of North 22nd Avenue West and the Lenox Place, died with family by her side Friday, Nov. 5, 2010, in Viewcrest Health Center while recovering from a stroke.

She was born in Duluth Jan. 8, 1925, to Esdras and Victoria Tessier. Leona attended St. Jean Catholic School.

She married Alexander J. “Babe” Seguin June 7, 1947, in the former St. Jean the Baptist Catholic Church in Duluth. She was a very active member of Holy Family Catholic Church, where she served on the Rosary and Altar Societies and RCIA. Leona helped out at church fundraisers and in general “lived her faith.” She was also active with the Lenox Club.

Leone worked until she was 83 in the food packaging industry, most recently with Bruno’s Old World Foods and many years at Zinsmasters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alexander; son Jeffrey; sisters Irene Harteau, Clara Ratajek and Victoria Tyo; brothers Louie, Albert, Ludger, Art and Ed Tessier.

Leona is survived by her children, Albert (Shirley) of Atlanta, Michael (Suzanne) of Silver Bay, Kevin (Dana) of Champlin, Minn., and Ann (Joe) Dierkes of Duluth; brother Hank (Missy) Tessier of Hastings, Minn.; sisters Lorraine (Bob) DeRoche of Duluth and Rosemarie (Gordy) Panzer of Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.; sister-in-law Hope Tessier of Duluth; grandchildren Michael (Brande), Lisa (John), Nicole (Lance), Scott, Randy (Cassie), Steven (Sara), Zachary and Grayson; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and countless friends.
