Dearly loved sister of Guy (Joan), Donald (Ida), Raymond, Gerald, William (Leona), Lorraine, Theresa and Irene. Jeannette was a much loved and special aunt to Donna (John), Mary-Ann, Patrick (Kim), and Karl Hammel (Karen).

Vincent Tessier 1957-2010

TESSIER, VINCENT; August 13, 2010, of Rochester Hills; born in April, 1957 at Ft. Benning, GA. During the 1970's and 1980's, worked as (contract) robotics engineer at GM Assembly Operations in Hamtramck, Flint, Baltimore, Jamesville, etc. Preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen (Freidhoff).

Survived by father, Vern of Rochester Hills; sister, Marie of Bangor, Maine; and brothers, Tom of Avon, Colorado and Louis of Grand Rapids, plus many wonderful aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends from the Science Fiction Club of Metro Detroit. Donations may be directed to the Diabetes organization of your choice. Family services will be private.

Elle était l'épouse bien-aimée de Richard Charlebois et la fille de feu Francoise Hotte et de feu Hervé Tessier. Lorraine Tessier 1947-2010

McLEOD, Lorraine (nee Tessier) - In loving memory of Lorraine McLeod (nee Tessier). The family announces Lorraine's peaceful death on Wednesday August 18th, 2010 at the Maison Vale Inco Hospice in Sudbury, Ontario at the age of 63 years. With great courage and strength Lorraine fought a year-long battle with cancer, all the while finding hope and kindness in her family and friends. Lorraine was the daughter of the late Laurent Tessier and late Colette Tessier (nee Byrne), the beloved wife of Don McLeod of Whitefish, loving mother of Kristie of Lindsay, Amanda (Jessica) of Halifax, Rebecca Benson (Shaun) of Timmins, and Don Jr. of Sudbury, and the dear sister of Cecile Tessier (Larry) of Chelmsford. She also leaves behind many cherished cousins. With great generosity, Lorraine gave her time and love to her friends and community, especially through her work in the Penage Lake Road Women's Institute, the Walden Lioness, the Whitefish Lions, the John Howard Society, and Canadian Blood Services. We will remember blueberry picking in early summer mornings, late night baking of perfect sweets that seemed to spill over with her love, and the kindness she gave to her friends as she sat with her hands clasping a warm mug, leaning forward, listening. Her strong spirit and the rolling joy of her laughter will always be with us. Surrounded by water, birch, and sky, Lorraine and her family found peace and comfort at the Maison Vale Inco Hospice. We are grateful for the gentle care of its staff and volunteers, the many quiet sunrises over the lake, and the goodness of home cooked meals. We would also like to thank the Cancer Treatment Centre, Bayshore Home Health, Warmhearts, and the Oncology Department of the Sudbury Regional Hospital. We welcome family and friends to join us in a celebration of Lorraine's life on Monday August 23, 2010 at 1pm at the Sixth Avenue Golf Course in Lively, Ontario. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lorraine's name to the Maison Vale Inco Hospice. Maurice TESSIER

Maurice Tessier 1923-2010

Maurice Joseph Tessier, 86, of Hermantown passed away peacefully Aug. 1, 2010. He was born Sept. 2, 1923, to Joseph and Berthe Tessier in Duluth. He grew up in West Duluth and graduated from St. Jeans School in 1941. He worked at the Telegraph Company where he delivered telegrams by bicycle throughout the city of Duluth. He started his career with the Northern Pacific Railway in 1942, working various positions, spending the majority of his time as a freight agent until retiring as a transportation supervisor from the BNSF in 1987. Maurie's career as a railroader was interrupted by World War II, when he served in the Navy on the U.S.S. Revenge. Maurie was very proud of his time as a serviceman for which he swept enemy mines for allied ships. Following the surrender of the Japanese, Maurie and his crewmen led a "V" formation into Tokyo Bay to clear the way to victory for the American forces on the morning of Aug. 28, 1945. He served from 1943-1946. Maurice was a member of St. Lawrence Church and the French Club and volunteered for nearly 50 years as a board and credit committee member at the Northern Pacific Credit Union. He spent many years coaching youth sports teams in Hermantown including hockey and baseball. He enjoyed playing golf, proudly watching his children and grandchildren in their various extra curricular activities and napping in his favorite chair. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Eileen; and their son, Phillip. He is survived by his children, Gary (Mary) Tessier, Anne (Clyde) Larson, Paul Tessier, Adrienne (John) Sobczak, Carolyn (Matt) Katzmarek and Michael (Michelle) Tessier; grandchildren Scott, Eric, and Corey Larson, Brandon, Matthew (Allison) and Holly Sobczak, Nichole and Benjamin Tessier and Hailey and Mariah Kratt; brothers Ray (Pat) Tessier, Lawrence (Connie) Tessier and Joe (Julie) Tessier; sisters Sis (Danny) Boone and Gen (Sarge) Larson; brothers and sisters-in-law Evelyn Weber, Myrt Carlson and Richard (Katie) Fournier; and many niece and nephews.
VISITATION: Wake Prayers Thursday, Aug. 5, and 10 to 11 a.m. service Friday, Aug. 6, in St. Lawrence Church, 2410 Morris Thomas Road. Burial with Military Honors accorded by the Duluth Combine Honor Guard at Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements by the Dougherty Funeral Home.

TESSIER, Fernande 1926-2010 D'Oka, le 9 août 2010, à l'âge de 84 ans, est décédée Mme Fernande Tessier, épouse de feu Jean-Louis Masson. Elle était la fille de feu Alcidas Tessier et de feu Clarinda Charest. C'EST AVEC UN IMMENSE REGRET que nous vous faisons part du décès de DORILLIA LALONDE 1922 - 2010 décédé le lundi 9 août 2010, à l'âge de 88 ans. Il était l'époux de Thérèse lavigne, le père de Maurice (Diane Marleau), Laurent (Lilianne Sauvé) et de feu Monique; le grand-père de huit petits-enfants et de treize arrière-petits-enfants. Lui survivent également une soeur Anita Scott, quatre belles-soeurs: Antoinette Lalonde, Yvonne Prud'Homme, Lauria Lalonde et Elisa Dorion; ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces. Il fut prédécédé par un arrière-petit-fils Benoit Mainville. Le service religieux aura lieu le vendredi 13 août 2010 à 11h, en l'église St-Luc de Curran; inhumation au cimetière paroissial. La famille sera présente à l'église à compter de 10h15 afin de recevoir les condoléances. Un merci spécial au docteur Jacques Brunet et au personnel du Foyer St-Jacques d'Embrun pour les bons soins prodigués à Dorillia.
